Art and Time | Video

The study focus of the studio for Art and Time | Video (prev. Video and Video Installation) is the development of independent artistic work based on both the practical and theoretical reflection of video, film, TV, architecture, sound and performative elements. Students investigate the relationship of the media image, physical space, apparatus and body, and work on these aspects in conversations, discussions, presentations, screenings, exhibitions and lectures.

"[…] Video as an idea, as a working method, rather than a specific medium, a particular piece. Something to keep in the back of my mind while I'm doing something else. It can bring me upfront, pull me back onto the surface, keep me from slipping away into abstraction." - (Vito Acconci, Claim , 1971)
