Academy Auction 2026 raises 170.000 euro net proceeds for a good cause

The charity auction organized by the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in cooperation with the Dorotheum, which ended on January 23, 2026, and took place for the 12th time this year, raised net proceeds of 170.000 euro, successfully continuing the very good results of the previous year.

The majority of the proceeds will benefit students at the academy who need financial support and will go to the Mental Health Fund, the Support Fund, and the 2nd Year Scholarship. In addition, part of the proceeds will be donated to the associations tralalobe (60.000 euro) and solidarity matters (35.000 euro), which support refugees in Austria.

"Given the tense situation on the art market, the auction results are extremely pleasing and significantly exceed our expectations", emphasizes Ingeborg Erhart, Vice Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
