Spotlight Festival for Motion Picture Communication | spotlight STUDENTS
The 29th Festival for Motion Picture Communication will take place 12–13 March 2026 in Stuttgart. Spotlight STUDENTS is a young talent competition for spots and other motion picture formats produced by film students.
Target group
Eligible to participate: students and trainees at all universities, universities of applied sciences, academies and schools with artistic or artistic-technical studies.
The submitting student needs to have contributed significantly to the submitted spot (direction, camera, editing, production, script)

All formats of motion pictures fitting the above categories are eligible if they were produced or finalized after 01.10.2024 in German-speaking countries.
Awards
The spotlight-AWARDS in the above-listed categories are awarded in gold, silver and bronze. The gold awards are endowed at a total of 5,000 euros.
Submission
Submission is possible online and the deadline is 31 January 2026.
