Mandatory briefing on Admission to the Doctor of Philosophy program
Participation in an informational meeting is mandatory for admission to the doctoral program in philosophy in the summer semester 2026.
The briefing aims to outline the supervision options available within the Dr.phil. program at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. The briefing is mandatory as an admission requirement. This is the first of three possible dates for mandatory briefings.

The interview will be conducted by Doz. Mag. Dr. Assoc. Prof. Axel Stockburger, Institute for Fine Arts
The deadline for registration is on February 12, 2026.
Registration
Registration is possible via email at vizerektorin_kunst_lehre@akbild.ac.at. Please indicate your full name, name of your choice (= name of your Zoom account), date of your choice as well as your e-mail address. Also, please send a scan of your passport. After registration you will receive the Zoom link.
Language
The briefing will be held in English. Questions are possible in German and English.
