5th ENCoRE Ph.D. Colloquium
The 5th ENCoRE Ph.D. Colloquium offers European doctoral candidates in conservation and restoration a platform to present and discuss their ongoing research with peers and academic staff. The aim of the colloquium is to encourage scholarly exchange in an open and collegial atmosphere and to stimulate critical discussion on current research topics in the field.
The colloquium seeks to establish a European forum for debate and the exchange of ideas relevant to the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage. In addition to research presentations, the event provides opportunities for networking, dialogue, and the development of future collaborations among early-career researchers and senior academics.
Participation is restricted to current PhD candidates of all specialisations in conservation, their supervisors, and other academic staff involved in research training within European ENCoRE member institutions.
ENCoRE – European Network for Conservation-Restoration Education is based at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. As an institutional partner, the Academy is actively involved in the organisation of the colloquium and is represented on the ENCoRE Board.
ENCoRE provides travel grants for invited PhD candidates and offers the opportunity to submit a scientific paper based on doctoral research for a special issue of the journal Conservar Património. Conservar Património is a Q1-ranked, peer-reviewed scientific journal published three times a year since 2005: https://conservarpatrimonio.pt/index
