The Academy mourns the death of Dr. Eduard Saxinger (1947-2025)

Dr. Eduard Saxinger was appointed as a member of the University Council at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna by the Federal Government in 2018 and has chaired the University Council from this date. The retired lawyer, born in Linz in 1947, was previously a member of the University Council at the University of Arts Linz for ten years, including five years as Chairman of the University Council. He was awarded the Golden Medal of Honor of Upper Austria. Dr. Saxinger was a member of the University Council for the Academy until 2021.
