City of Bruehl | Max Ernst Scholarship 2026
Until October 7, all students enrolled at an art college or academy who are under 36 years of age by April 2 have the opportunity to apply online for the Max Ernst Scholarship of the City of Brühl.
The Brühl Art Prize, awarded annually since 1971, is endowed with EUR 10,000. As in previous years, the Max Ernst Society Brühl eV will contribute half of the prize money. Winning the scholarship also includes an exhibition of the winning works at the LVR's Max Ernst Museum Brühl.
Four to five works – paintings, graphics, sculptures, objects or videos – can be submitted for judging by the renowned expert jury.
The expert jury includes art historians, artists, the chairman of the Max Ernst Society, a representative of the local community, a junior juror, and the mayor of the city of Brühl.
