Sara Lanner

Sara Lanner is Mentee of Georgia Holz

Sara Lanner (*1991) is a choreographer and visual artist in the fields of dance and performance art. Her work addresses the body and its manifestation as social choreography and sculpture. Her performances take place in exhibition spaces, on stages, and in interdisciplinary and public venues.

Most recently, her dance performance Mining Minds was shown at ImPulstanzFestival Wien (2022) and brut Wien (2021). She was awarded the H13 Niederoesterreich Prize for Performance and presented her performance and solo exhibition MINE at Kunstraum Niederösterreich (2021). With her performance Mother Tongue she received the Ö1 Audience Award of the Ö1 Talent Exchange at the Leopold Museum Vienna (2020). Other performances and exhibitions at Tanzquartier Wien, Galerie 5020 Salzburg, das weisse haus, MIPAF Macau, Künstlerhaus Nürnberg, Stadtgalerie Salzburg, WUK Performing Arts, Im_flieger Wien, OK Linz, among others.

Sara Lanner has collaborated with Anne Juren, Michikazu Matsune, Alfredo Barsuglia, Fanni Futterknecht, Lisa Hinterreithner, Lavinia Lanner, Ernst Lima, Costas Kekis, among others.
