The Austrian Academy of Sciences is offering a prize for the three best answers to the question: “Can the societal relevance of research be evaluated and if so, how?”

Nowadays everybody is talking about the societal relevance of science and research, be it as “Science for and with Society”, “Open Science”, “Citizen Science” or “Responsible Science”. However, what criteria can be applied and how this relevance can be measured are issues which require more intensive discussion.

Answers can be submitted in writing to the OeAW until 31st August 2018.

Further information on the terms and conditions for participation are available in the appendix and at: https://www.oeaw.ac.at/en/prize-question/
