Akbild meets AVU Prague

In May, administrative staff of the Academy got the chance to visit colleagues at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague as part of Erasmus+.

Just in time to experience their "Rundgang", we got to see an array of amazing student works. A tour of the different locations and studios of the Academy pointed out the many similarities between our universities. Most importantly, both sides profited from an exchange of experiences and best practice cases in each our fields of work!

On the following day, we got to take an extensive guided tour of the city - with a lot of background on the (art) history of Prague!

A huge thank you to our colleagues for welcoming us so warmly - you're always welcome to in turn visit us here in Vienna!

And by the way: In September, both Academies will open a cooperative exhibition in Prague!

Margins of the Visible

Locations: AVU Gallery, Veletržní 61-63, Prague 7, and Austrian Cultural Forum Prague, Jungmannovo nám. 18, Prague 1

In this exhibition, artists from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna explore the complex relationships between architecture, infrastructure, and organic life.
Margins of the Visible forms two spatially separate exhibitions, yet connected by conceptual proximity and functioning as mutual extensions.
