Social Stipend
The Social Stipend provides support to enrolled students at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in covering their tuition fees. Applications must be submitted retrospectively for the previous semester that has already been completed. The call is open to both current students and graduates who completed their studies in the previous semester and have not received a refund from any other scholarship provider.
Application deadlines
- Deadline retroactively for the winter semester: April 1st – May 15th | 11 h
- Deadline retroactively for the summer semester: October 1st – November 15th | 11 h

- Scan/photo of your residence registration certificate (“Meldezettel”)
- Confirmation of enrolment for the previous semester
Application
An application is only possible via https://calls.akbild.ac.at/.
- If you don't have access to the submission system yet, please register once using your @student.akbild.ac.at email address. This will ensure you are recognised as a student in the system.
- The submission system is independent of AkademieOnline. Therefore, you cannot log in using your AkademieOnline password.
Doctoral students who are required to enter into a dissertation agreement within their first year must have an approved agreement in place to be awarded the social stipend.
Please ensure that your application is complete and meets all the specified criteria. Only applications that are complete and submitted within the deadline will be considered. Applications submitted after the deadline or with incomplete documentation cannot be considered.
