About the program

The Studio Support Program for Graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna ran from 2018 to 2025.

From 2018 to 2025, the Academy Studio Program provided a comprehensive support structure for graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, offering studio spaces to continue their artistic practice. Each year, ten fellows were given access to shared studio spaces located in the Creative Cluster in Vienna’s 5th district.

An accompanying program of studio visits, guided tours, and interviews increased the visibility of the participants’ artistic practices and communicated their positions to a broader public. Each program year concluded with presentations held in the individual studios.

In addition to the Academy’s own framework, the Creative Cluster — home to numerous artists and cultural and creative practitioners, with studios and workshops — offered opportunities for interdisciplinary exchange.
