Gudrun Ratzinger is an independent curator and museum practitioner. Since 2020, she has been leading an exhibition project on the climate crisis at the Vienna Technical Museum (opening in March 2024), and she is a co-curator at the Kunstraum Lakeside in Klagenfurt. She studied art history at the University of Vienna and has worked in various institutions, including the Kunsthalle Wien, the Generali Foundation, and the Vienna Museum, where she had a long-term role. She has also taught courses on both the practical and theoretical aspects of curating at various Austrian universities.

In her PhD project at the University of Art and Design Linz (to be completed in the fall of 2023), she is exploring the possibilities of installative and object-based historical representations in contemporary art. Gudrun Ratzinger's independent curatorial projects are situated at the intersection of art, everyday culture, and cultural studies and have been exhibited in venues such as the Volkskundemuseum Wien, the Brennpunkt° – Museum of Heating Culture Vienna, the Kunsthalle Exnergasse, and the University Gallery of the University of Applied Arts in the Heiligenkreuzerhof.
