Sophie Haslinger works as a curator specializing in contemporary photography and ecological themes. Since 2022, she has been a curator at KunstHausWien, where she develops the institution's exhibition program. Previously, she worked as an assistant curator at the same institution and for the photography festival Foto Wien. Additionally, she has curated numerous independent curatorial projects, serves as an expert in international portfolio reviews, and regularly writes texts for exhibition catalogues and monographs.
Sophie Haslinger holds a Master’s degree in Art History as well as in Communication Studies from the University of Vienna and was a Curatorial Research Fellow at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago in 2017.
Her most recent exhibition projects include Mika Rottenberg: Antimatter Factory (2025), Into the Woods: Approaches to the Forest Ecosystem (2024), CLOSE/D: Explorations into Adjacent Environments (2023), Stefanie Moshammer: We Love Our Customers (2022), and After Us, the Deluge (2020).
