The exhibition shown in the media room of DER STANDARD and the auditorium of the Academy was realized on the occasion of the daily newspaper's anniversary as a project spanning different classes. It is curated by Anette Freudenberger and Lucie Stahl. COLUMNS unfolds a structural comparison of the sometimes not really that different working methods of newspaper people and artists, exploring such issues as the communication of contents, the production of meaning, schedules, and structures: How are decisions arrived at? Who are the recipients? What about the relationship between text and image? How near can one come to the truth?
