Reading out of the Memoir (work in progress Mama California, Sister New York, Great Aunt Galizia (written in German)

 This autofictional book weaves together the story of the author - as an Austrian University student in Berkeley/California and publishing intern in NY - with the “forgotten” story of her great aunt, who immigrated to New York in 1922. Pregnant and alone.

The author uses sketches, ink and oil paintings also as a means of artistic research and basis for writing this project.
She will read two chapters of the book.
