Workshop by Verena Dauerer. Organized by the Knowledge Transfer Center of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

I am at the beginning of my career and need start-up help? I would like to reorient myself in terms of content or go new ways, but what is the best way to do this financially and organizationally? I want to promote my artistic-creative output, do I have to get on TikTok right away? This workshop wants to show practical ways how I can achieve what I want: to work self-determined in the artistic field, but also in the creative and media field. During the journalistic coaching, aspects of being a freelancer will be discussed using examples from the group. Important is not only the profitability of creative work, but also knowledge about workflow and performance requirements and especially the maintenance of the network, as well as self-marketing. In the workshop, examples will be used to run through individual scenarios. Factors such as pricing of services and works, but also standard market practices in the artistic-creative field will be discussed and reflected upon in the group. Individual questions and needs around the topic of independent, self-determined "new worlds of work" can be answered.
