The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna is delighted to present the exhibition Margins of the Visible this fall, together with the Academy of Fine Arts Prague, the Austrian Cultural Forum Prague, and the BMWKMS. Following a successful Erasmus+ exchange of staff from the two universities in May of this year, the exhibition represents a further step in this close collaboration.

The exhibition presents artistic positions by students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, who explore the complex relationships between architecture, infrastructure, and organic life—by focusing on the blurred boundaries between human and non-human, inside and outside, artificial and natural.
By bringing together diverse perspectives in architecture, sculpture, and video, the exhibition invites a deeper awareness of changing landscapes and cityscapes—of what remains, what has been lost, and what is still in the process of being created. Margins of the Visible forms two spatially separate exhibitions, yet connected by conceptual proximity and functioning as mutual extensions.

Artists: Nanna Kaiser, Lotti Brockmann & Paul Schurich, Janne Charlotte Schipper & Andreas Sahl Andersen, Pille-Riin Jaik, Julian Berger, Anastasiia Lisnicha, Lucie Vrbíková, Jakub Kempný, Omar El Sadek & Hanne Kaunicnik, Jesse Van Epenhuijsen, Renata Jelínková
