University of Ignoramuses | Processes of Education in a Society of Migration

maiz (Linz) has been engaged in the participation of migrants in all areas of society for over twenty years. Marissa Lobo and Tania Araujo will discuss the recent formation of the "University of the Ignoramuses" as a space of counter-hegemonic knowledge production as well as the notion of ignorance, e. g. in the sense of socially ignored knowledge. In the talk strategies of political and educational processes, issues of learning and unlearning, of speech, of hearing and being-heard as well as the role of artistic and activist practices for pedagogical spaces of agency will be discussed.
