At Cross Purposes
At Cross Purposes is a collaborative exhibition by Janne Schipper (NL) and Andreas Sahl Andersen (DK), exploring the concept of constellations as an artistic and curatorial methodology, accompanied by a publication.
The constituting parts of a constellation each have their own centre of gravity, their own system of objects and yet, are held together as a whole from our vantage point.
The exhibition will be accompanied by the publication of a book, on the poetic and theoretical background of the method of constellations. Co-authored with art historian and musician Nils Bloch Sørensen, art historian Anders Bille, philosopher and artist Aisha Pagnes and poet and mathematician Carla Luisa Patrizii. With the graphic design by Julian Mack and cover art by Rafael Cyrill Vasilyev.
