Artist-in-Residency Program

With the Artist-in-Residence program, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna enables artists from so-called "third countries" (non-EU countries), the possibility of a three-month residency. The residency is a cooperation with magdas HOTEL, the social business hotel of the Caritas Vienna. The program is funded by part of the proceeds of the Academy Auction. The residency artists hold workshops for students of the Academy as well as artist talks.

The call for nominations is being made within the Academy; heads of studios of the Institute for Fine Arts may nominate artists. The selection will be made jointly by the Rectorate and the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Institute for Fine Arts.
