Hahner Technik | Art + Steel Award
This sponsorship award is aimed specifically at artists who develop works of art for public spaces or buildings using the medium of steel and are characterised by their independence and originality. This prize will be awarded for the first time in 2024 to mark the 35th anniversary of Hahner Technik.
The target group are artists during their studies or up to five years after graduation in fine arts, architecture and design. Members of the Bundesverband Bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler without a degree who are not older than 35 are also eligible.
The prize is endowed with €2000. The prize is linked to the realisation of the submitted work using Hahner Technik's production facilities. In concrete terms, this means that the artists design an art object and Hahner Technik employees realise the work on the Hahner Technik premises. Material and production costs are covered. The artists have the opportunity to actively accompany the process. They will receive a fee of €1000 and a grant of €500 for travelling expenses.
