#UnisRetten: Joint demonstration on May 27, 2026
Dear students and colleagues,
in order to raise awareness in collaboration with all universities and as many people as possible, a demonstration by universities against the planned budget cuts will take place on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 13 h. It is organized by Universities Austria (Uniko) in cooperation with the Austrian Student Union ÖH.

Meeting point: Universitätsring in front of the University of Vienna (1010 Vienna)
The Rectorate supports this demonstration and the joint action by the universities and permits participation in the demonstration during working hours or class time on May 27, 2026, from 13 h to 15 h. We thank the ÖH for its commitment and support of the protests.
The more people from the universities who visibly come together, the clearer the message will be to those in political leadership!
We ask you to stand together against this challenging situation.
Let’s take to the streets! We won’t let them cut us down!
