    Wanted: New rector from October 2027!

    The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna invites applications for the position of Rector, to commence on October 1, 2027. We are seeking a leader with extensive experience in university politics and international affairs, and an outstanding academic and/or artistic record. The ideal candidate will possess openness, a proactive approach, strong supportiveness, innovative spirit, teamwork skills, and a proven track record of implementation, enabling them to lead the Academy and align it with future requirements for the development of teaching and research. Applications are accepted until September 10, 2026.
