Ernst A. Plischke Study Prize

The Ernst A. Plischke Study Prize is launched on the initiative of the Ernst A. Plischke Society (www.plischke-society.com) with the support of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. It is awarded every two years and financed from the membership fees of ordinary and supporting members of the Ernst A. Plischke Society.

This prize is intended to award outstanding work that creates connections between Plischke's Diagram of modern architecture and currently relevant issues in architecture and society.

All regular students and alumni/alumnae* of the Master’s Programme Architecture of the Institute for Art and Architecture (IKA) of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna are eligible to participate. A degree must not have been completed more than two years ago, however.

The Ernst A. Plischke Study Prize is endowed with 4.000.- Euro. The prize is awarded by a jury consisting of five members. Two jurors each are nominated by the Ernst A. Plischke Society and the Institute for Art and Architecture (IKA) of the Academy of Fine Arts, as well as one member by the Bundeskammer der Ziviltechniker_innen, Architekt_innen und Ingenieur_innen – Sektion Architekt_innen.

It is the responsibility of the jury to share the prize in justified cases. If no suitable awardee is found, the prize will not be awarded and the prize money will be used for the next award.
