Mariama Diallo is an activist and Pan-African artist, photographer, and performer. She studied contextual painting with Ashley Hans Scheirl at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
A focal point in her artistic practice involves the analysis of racist body politics, which she counteracts with empowering alternatives. Additionally, she delves into the study of history and the diaspora. Diallo's works have an activist character and aim to reflect on and act against the present, making her art politically rooted. Mariama Diallo is part of the collective of the Schwabinggrad Ballet & Arrivati in Hamburg, and since 2023, she is also part of the directorial collective of the MUSMIG Museum of Migration.
