Merve Sahin is mentee of Bart Lootsma
Merve Sahin is a Vienna-based architectural designer and researcher holding a master's degree in architecture from the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Her work has earned recognition from international publications and organizations such as the EUMies-Young Talent Awards. Her graduation thesis has been exhibited at the 18th Venice Biennale of Architecture 2023. Since 2021, she has been a member of the design and research team at Wolfgang Tschapeller Architects. In 2023, she received the start-grant for architecture from Bmkös.
Merve Sahin uncovers new expressions of artistic vision within the architectural medium while investigating the intersections of physical, virtual, social, and cultural definitions of lived spaces. Her latest focus centers on the digital turn and its material and immaterial implications on public spaces through speculative storytelling.
