Juliana Lindenhofer is mentee of Anne Faucheret.
Juliana Lindenhofer's precarious accumulations of material change with time and changing temperatures, growing or shrinking, expanding or condensing. Their mutability allows them to escape fixation by the suspensions, while being subject to the gravitational pull of the earth and the entropy of matter. Almost like an intimate collaboration between artist and material, between their intentions and more-than-human instances, they are raw and refined, clearly delineated and open-ended at the same time. The (critical) allusions to the working class, heteronormative family models, and the domination of patriarchy in the work titles are in tension with both the formal and material levels of the works.
