The following position at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna is to be filled as soon as possible:

University assistant in the field „Performative Art“
at the Institute for Fine Arts

This position is offered on the basis of 30 hours per week for a limited period of five years.

The tasks of the university assistant include in particular the collaboration in courses in the field of performing arts at the Institute for Fine Arts, the supervision of students as well as the participation in organizational and administrative tasks and evaluation measures.

Conditions of employment:
•    a completed diploma or master's degree or an equivalent artistic and scientific qualification which is eligible for employment
•    proof of the holding of courses in the tertiary area of at least two semesters
•    very good German and English knowledge
•    IT knowledge: Image processing and graphics programs, as well as Microsoft Office programs

Desired qualifications:
•    international experience as well as extensive knowledge and independent artistic practice in the field of "Performative Art"
•    good knowledge of staging, dramaturgy, bodywork, documentation as well as theory and history of the performing arts
•    experience in organizing and realizing performances, exhibitions, projects and excursions
•    teamwork skills
•    didactic/pedagogical competence
•    gender competence and intercultural competence

The monthly gross salary according to the collective agreement for university employees in salary group B1  with an employment of 30 hours per week is currently Euro 2,196.8.
