Ezgi Erol

Ezgi Erol is an artist. Her interdisciplinary practice includes installation, video, research, essay, editorial and curatorial work. On the basis of historical events, personal archives and contemporary developments, she researches questions of memory, intersectionality and migration. Her works unfold between spaces, objects and bodies and deal with shifts in meaning of places and their social structure. The artist's fragmentary narratives and images are an attempt at the question of which and whose stories gain visibility.

Ezgi Erol studied fine arts and sociology and is currently a lecturer and doctoral candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She has been the editor of Migrazine – Online Magazin von Migrantinnen für alle .
