Lecture by Michela Lupieri. Moderation: Carolin Bohlmann (IKR) and Christina Condak (IKA). In English.

This lecture is part of the Land Art Survey Relazioni di Terra, Villa di Verzegnis the transdisciplinary survey in the fields of architecture and art conservation – conceived by Carolin Bohlmann and Christina Condak – documenting an outdoor collection of Land, Minimal, Conceptual Art in Friuli (Italy) with students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Michela Lupieri joined the group on site, involving the students in the workshop Knowing while experiencing structured around discussions and walking in the lawn (Prato d'Arte Marzona). This lecture aims to present the results of the workshop and an insight on the Marzona Collection and Archive spread between Italy and Germany.
 
This event is part of the Lupieri's yearlong research-based curatorial project Marzona Collection & Archive. Counter narratives, analogies, experimental practices, reading exercises developed with the collaboration of the following partners: Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, Berlin; Akademie der bildenden Künste, Wien; Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Vienna; AdA Archiv der Avantgarden - Egidio Marzona SKD, Dresden; Trieste Contemporanea, Trieste; Libreria Martincigh, Udine. It is supported by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture under the Italian Council program (2023)
Michela Lupieri is an Italian researcher and contemporary art curator, PhD candidate in Art History at TU Universität Dresden with a research project on the Marzona Collection and Archive. Between 2018 and 2020 she worked in the research department of AdA - Archiv der Avantgarden Egidio Marzona SKD and in 2021/2022 she tought History of Contemporary Art in the Fine Art Academy “Tiepolo” in Udine. She led lectures and workshops in several artistic institutions and she regularly curates exhibitions and writes for catalogues and art magazines. In 2023 she got the Italian Council research grant.
