Kunsthalle Wien Prize 2026 goes to Lotti Brockmann and Valentino Skarwan
Lotti Brockmann (Academy of Fine Arts Vienna) and Valentino Skarwan (University of Applied Arts Vienna) will be featured in a joint exhibition at the Kunsthalle Wien Karlsplatz in December 2026. Our warmest congratulations to both of them!
The Kunsthalle Wien Prize aims to support emerging artists living and working in Vienna and to promote discourse on contemporary art through an annual collaboration with the two Viennese art universities. Awarded jointly by the Kunsthalle Wien, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, and the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the prize is awarded by a jury of experts to one graduate from each of the two art universities. Now in its 23rd year, the prize seeks to support graduates shortly after graduation, enabling them to present their work to a broad audience and thus bridging the gap between their studies and their professional artistic careers. The two selected artists receive an exhibition at the Kunsthalle, accompanied by a publication, as well as prize money of €3,000 each, sponsored by Kunsttrans and smc Steirer Mika & Comp.
Lotti Brockmann (born 1995, Cuxhaven, Germany) studied Art and Space | Spatial Strategies and Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
