The annual award for distinguished research in the field of the history of architecture from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century is to encourage younger scholars to bring the results of their work to the attention of a broader public. Consideration will be given to a Ph.D. dissertation, M.A. thesis, or scholarly article of larger scope, dealing with art historical questions in the history of architecture from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century. The winning candidate will receive 5,000 Euro and is expected to spend three months conducting research at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte in Munich.
