FFG | COMET Projects 2024
COMET Projects aim to carry out high-quality research in science - industry collaboration. They are characterised by a medium-term perspective and clearly defined topics with the potential for further development. The upcoming call will open on 16 April 2024.
What is funded?
Funding is provided for a high-quality research programme in cooperation between science and industry. The research topics are thematically open, but must be clearly defined.
Who is eligible for funding?
Eligible applicants: Consortia with at least 1 scientific institution (universities, universities of applied sciences, research institutions) and at least 3 independent companies (companies from Austria and abroad)
Legal entities, partnerships or sole proprietorships that are not part of the Austrian federal administration are eligible for funding:
- Companies of any legal form
- Institutions for research and knowledge dissemination
- Universities
- Universities of Applied Sciences
- Non-university research institutions
- Technology transfer institutions, innovation intermediaries and other science-oriented organisations such as associations with a corresponding purpose
- Other non-economic organisations
- Municipalities and self-governing bodies
- Non-profit organisations such as NPOs
