Kunstraum Niederösterreich | H13 Lower Austria Prize for Performance
This year, Kunstraum Niederoesterreich awards the H13 Lower Austria Prize for Performance for the 18th time, to date Austria’s only prize for performance in the context of visual art.
The aim of the annually-awarded H13 Prize is to spotlight the diversity and relevance of contemporary performance art – in Austria and beyond.
The presentation of the prize-winning performance project takes place in the framework of the festive H13 award ceremony. An accompanying, usually two-week exhibition offers our audience the opportunity to engage with the artist(s)’ project outside of the live performance itself. In this way, the prize also contributes to the question of how to present performance art within the context of the exhibition space.
The call for entries remains thematically open this year, again. The deadline for submissions is 12.04.2024. The winners will be announced in mid-May.
