  • OeAD | Cooperation Development Research 6th Call

    The programme "Cooperation Development Research" (KoEF), financed by the BMFWF and implemented by OeAD, is a funding program to foster research on the two main principles of excellency and cooperation in development research.

  • OeAD | Africa-UniNet 6th Call

    Africa-UniNet aims to facilitate and strengthen existing and new inter- and transdisciplinary research cooperation between Austria and African countries. Africa-UniNet promotes excellent research based on the mutual exchange of knowledge. This call is only open to internal academy researchers, as the cooperative research projects will run through the institution.

  • OeAD | Austrian Development Research Award 2025

    The Austrian Development Research Award is presented every two years to academically active institutions and individuals who have made a special achievement in the field of development research (publications, projects and initiatives). The prize consists of a main prize and a young researchers' prize and is awarded by the Agency for Education and Internationalisation (OeAD) with funds from the Federal Ministry of Women, Science and Research (BMFWF).

  • Schiele Award 2026

    The Schiele Award of the Rotary Club Tulln & Rotary Club Wien Albertina is an art prize that has been awarded every two years since 2022. Young artists are warmly invited to participate in the Open Call 2026.

    The international symposium "Duplicity/Duplicität: Betwixt intimates and strangers" will be held in Berlin from 29–31 January 2026 and marks the opening of a three-year research project titled "Studies in Remoteness".

    The Senior Research Fellowship is aimed at outstanding researchers (Level R3) who, as part of the scholarship, can prepare important steps for their next academic move in a focused period of work. The programme supports the development and submission of new research project proposals.

  • OeAW | GO.INVESTIGATIO

    The Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) awards grants for research stays outside of Austria for library, archive or field research necessary for the preparation of an academic thesis or publication or the development of a funding application.

  • Open Call of the Academy | Circular Bioengineering and Sustainability in Dialogue

    This call is aimed at students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna who are interested in exploring the intersection between art and science. As part of a collaboration between the Research Cluster Sustainability in the Arts at the Academy and the Exzellenzcluster Circular Bioengineering led by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), students are invited for intercisciplinary exchange.

  • Bauhaus University Weimar | XV. International Bauhaus Colloquium

    The XV. International Bauhaus Colloquium invites researchers from the humanities, arts, and architecture, from across different discourses and geographies to critically examine the politics that underlie, shape, or result from research. The event takes place 4–7 November 2026 in Weimar and the call for contributions is open.

  • Open Call of the Academy | Manual for Occupation

    For spring 2026, the team of the project MANUAL FOR OCCUPATION invites students, lecturers, and researchers of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna to develop artistic interventions for the public space on and around Schillerplatz. This is done within a cooperation between the Research Cluster Sustainability in the Arts and the Transformationsgruppe of the Academy as well das the Klima Biennale Wien.

  • Eberhard (Eb)-Dietzsch-Kunstfreunde | 9th Eb-Dietzsch Award for painting

    The Eb-Dietzsch Award for painting is awarded to artists until the age of 35 years who are at the start of their careers. One work per person can be submitted, the topic is free of choice. All techniques of painting are accepted.
