BMKOES | Start-up scholarship - fine arts, design, photography and media art
The start-up scholarships recognise and support the work of young artists. They are intended to promote artistic development and facilitate entry into the Austrian and international art scene.
Artists who are Austrian citizens or have their permanent residence in Austria (extract from the population register) are eligible to apply,
- if their relevant degree is no more than five years old (calculated from the submission deadline of 15 July 2024), regardless of their age, or
- if they do not have a relevant degree (and are not enrolled) and were born after 31 December 1988
Applications from students are not eligible.
A total of 23 scholarships will be awarded in the following areas:
- Visual arts (10 scholarships)
- Design (3 scholarships)
- Photography (5 scholarships)
- Media art (5 scholarships)
Scholarship duration: 6 months in each case, starting on 1 October 2024
Scholarship amount: endowment of EUR 9,000.00 (i.e. EUR 1,500.00 per month)
