Duration approx. 80 minutes, followed by a conversation with the filmmakers, led by art historian and art theorist Rose-Anne Gush (English)

An event in cooperation with Blickle Kino / Belvedere 21

Tigers Gathers (on-road) is the documentation of a participatory performance that Ting-Jung Chen has been performing since 2014. She “performs” as a street seller and travels to public places in Germany, Switzerland and Austria with her bicycle kiosk. Through the intersubjective encounters that take place, the artist raises questions of intimacy and relationships between people of different cultural origins and reflects concepts of identity in a consumer society.

de fac-to was shot in Lviv in 2016/17 and is the result of a collaboration between artist Ekaterina Shapiro-Obermair and historian Alexandra Wachter. The film shows a series of commemorative events in Lviv, Ukraine - all linked to events of the Second World War. As different as the groups are the speeches, songs and poems. The film looks at the divergence of the respective historical images just as prudently as at the productions themselves.

It is necessary to buy a ticket for the screening and artist talk.
Free entry for students of the Academy.
