Fashion and the Far Right: The New Complexity in Style
NeoFashFarRight is an in-depth fashion studies research that investigates the current role of fashion for the far right in Europe and the US. At the “Lange Nacht der Forschung” Teresa Fischer (MA, PraeDoc) will give a short introduction to the project and present first research results. Visitors will also have the chance of listening into “Style Struggles”, our freshly produced podcast series.

Lange Nacht der Forschung 2024
The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna presents current research projects from the natural sciences and technologies in art, artistic research as well as conservation and restoration in the historic Theophil Hansen building on Schillerplatz. The Paintings Gallery is open from 7 to 10 p.m. and admission is free.

Sentiment analysis entails the widespread surveillance of users posts and actions to determine how they feel. This talk outlines the importance of early and mid-20th century studies of women workers and internees in U.S. WWII internment camps to the rise of sentiment analysis.
