Der jährlich vergebene Preis ist eine Kooperation von Kunsthalle Wien, Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien und Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien. Die Preisträgerin der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien ist Abiona Esther Ojo. Sie studierte Bildhauerei und Raumstrategien bei Monica Bonvicini und Stefanie Seibold, Diplom 2020 bei Iman Issa.
