  • Open Days 2026

    During Rundgang (Open Days), institutes will open their atelier doors and studios, and performances, discussions and educational programs are offered. The annual Academy Auction will also take place as part of the tour, for which world-famous and even lesser-known artists will make works available for auction.

  • Kunsthalle Wien Prize 2025

    Jonida Laçi (Academy of Fine Arts Vienna) and Luīze Nežberte (University of Applied Arts Vienna) will hold a joint exhibition at Kunsthalle Wien Karlsplatz in November 2025.

  • Academy Auction 2026

    The annual online auction of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, in cooperation with Dorotheum Vienna, takes place again in 2026. The artistic works can be viewed from Wednesday, 21.1. to Friday, 23.1.2025 at the Prospekthof of the Atelierhaus of the Academy.

  • Infostand International Office

    Das International Office ist die zentrale Anlaufstelle für internationalen Austausch an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien. Studierende, Lehrende und Mitarbeiter_nnen erhalten Informationen zu Studierenden- und Lehrendenmobilität, Unterstützung bei der Realisierung von Auslandssemestern und -praktika sowie bei der Vermittlung von Auslandsstipendien. Das International Office betreut zudem Austauschstudierende und Gast-Lehrenden und ist Ansprechstelle bei der Planung und Akquisition von internationalen Projekten.

  • Workshop 1 accompanying the call for design-oriented publications Fine Companions 2025

    The call for submissions for new, design-oriented volumes of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna is open until 18.3.2026. The call is aimed at employees (including project staff) and students of the Academy. Before the deadline, there will be the opportunity to take part in two workshops with the book designer Astrid Seme and Thomas Geiger of Mark Pezinger Books.

  • Smart Map of Jewish History - Geschichte digital erzählt. Project presentation with Aliosha Biz

    Smart Map of Jewish History is a research project led by Herbert Peter, Institute for Education in the Arts. This evening, Christoph Lind (Injoest), Herbert Peter, and Juraj Sedivy (Comenius University Bratislava) will present the two project sections, Vienna and Lower Austria, provide insights into the project's fundamental ideas, and showcase initial digital implementations – including interactive 3D models.
