A project in the context of the focus Academy | Art | Public Sphere at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

The group is formed by students, teachers and interested city inhabitants. Together they deal with the potential and future of a large vacant area in Vienna. Within the framework of the project, perspectives and possibilities of a sustainable and future city as well as a concrete future use of the area are negotiated in a participatory and playful manner.

In doing so, the group takes up various aspects between urban planning, art and culture as well as questions of social and solidary coexistence. In relation to what is the future of the city, the project asks about forms of participation, limits and possibilities of action of participation processes and urban and neighborhood development and thereby also takes up the fact that it is significantly dependent on financial means who shapes the city.

How would you like to live?
What is your utopia?
What is the future of your city?
How can you help shape it?

May you / can you / would you like to / will you - participate in
shaping?
