GK 6.3 Offene Werkstätten GK I

The course is designed as supervised instruction and includes technical and creative support for students in their practical artistic work. In addition to individual projects and in-depth practical training, students will also be supervised for work already underway in the courses GK 2.3 Manufacturing Technology: Mold Making/Ceramics and GK 2.6 Manufacturing Technology: Ceramics, as well as projects from the project courses.The feasibility and realizability of the material and its areas of application, as well as the resulting design and conceptual questions, will be explored together. Workshop work and the professional and sustainable use of tools and materials also form an essential part.

Learning Objective The aim of the course is to provide in-depth knowledge of the material from design to the final product and the resulting confidence in handling ceramic materials, tools and working in the workshop.
Form of Assessment A minimum of 75% attendance is required for an assessment. This course has a continuous assessment format. Assessment will be based on individual work (work documentation, drafts, independent work), the quality of the completed work, and participation in the course.
