Orange the World at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna
Orange the world - 16 days against violence against women is an annual international campaign that starts on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and ends on December 10, Human Rights Day. The Academy of Fine Arts is again in solidarity with the Orange the World campaign in 2021 and will illuminate the building at Schillerplatz during this period.

Anna Spanlang and Diana Barbosa Gil to receive the reorganized 2021 Kunsthalle Wien Prize
Scheduled to open at Kunsthalle Wien Museumsquartier in February 2022, the newest iteration in the series of exhibitions held in conjunction with the Kunsthalle Wien Prize will feature works by the two winners of the first prize as well as six other artists.

The Academy back at Schillerplatz!
The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna will return to its historic building on Schillerplatz over the summer after extensive renovation and modernisation. Opening exhibitions in collaboration with the Indian curator trio Raqs Media Collective will mark the end of the move on 8 October 2021 and will be open to all visitors on 9 and 10 October from 10 am to 6 pm with free admission.

In 2021, the whole year is going round!
Due to the current Covid 19 situation, this year's annual tour did not take place in the usual form in January, but instead goes "all year round!" The students of the academy, together with their teachers, have developed a variety of presentation options on different communication channels as well as in public space and thus offer a program that extends throughout the year.
