Precarious situations and coping with crises, problems, conflicts, insecurities, and fears regarding the future can lead to severe stress, which is why the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna encourages seeking professional help and support.

With the Mental Health Fund, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna would like to offer financial support to students who suffer from severe psychological distress and need to seek professional care. For this purpose, the Academy provides a sum of money from the annual Academy Auction. The award of up to 400 Euro, takes the form of a refund of payments already made for (psycho-) therapy.

Students of the Institute of Fine Arts (diploma studies Fine Arts, MA Critical Studies, PhD in Practice), who are in their last year of studying (preparing their final degrees) and who are socially disadvantaged will be supported. Applicants have to live and work in Vienna.
