  • The Holy Kinship by Lucas Cranach the Elder- Insight into a restoration project at the Paintings Gallery

    The Holy Kinship by Lucas Cranach the Elder (around 1510/1512) is one of the highlights of the Paintings Gallery collection. Within the frame of the Lange Nacht der Forschung we explain the conservational challenges of the painting and take a look beneath the paint layers using infrared reflectography.

  • D-Arts - Impulse lecture - Diversity in the Austrian cultural landscape?

    As a project co-operation partner of the exhibition project Soundscapes of Intersectional Encounters: Exploring Identity Through Sound, D/Arts is an important contemporary input provider at a local level. The exchange between the academy, as a generator of knowledge, other cultural organisations and groups that are not at the assumed centre of a cultural landscape is exciting and will be discussed here.

    NeoFashFarRight is an in-depth fashion studies research that investigates the current role of fashion for the far right in Europe and the US. At the “Lange Nacht der Forschung” Teresa Fischer (MA, PraeDoc) will give a short introduction to the project and present first research results. Visitors will also have the chance of listening into “Style Struggles”, our freshly produced podcast series.

    Time has left its mark on a drawing by an unknown artist. As part of the Lange Nacht der Forschung we look at the drawing from three different scientific perspectives: a restorer, an art historian and a chemist jointly reflect on the significance and preservation of this unique work of art.

  • Simon Inou X Course Participants

    Workshop hosted by Zehra Baraçkılıç and Ruby Sircar

    Simon Inou will help participants of the course to realize their projects as podcasts by offering an introduction to consciously using media and radio programming to create intersectional narratives and allow a rethinking and undoing of privileges that are not blessings but rather disguised hindrances to create future linearities.
