  • OeAD | Austrian Development Research Award 2025

    The Austrian Development Research Award is presented every two years to academically active institutions and individuals who have made a special achievement in the field of development research (publications, projects and initiatives). The prize consists of a main prize and a young researchers' prize and is awarded by the Agency for Education and Internationalisation (OeAD) with funds from the Federal Ministry of Women, Science and Research (BMFWF).

  • Schiele Award 2026

    The Schiele Award of the Rotary Club Tulln & Rotary Club Wien Albertina is an art prize that has been awarded every two years since 2022. Young artists are warmly invited to participate in the Open Call 2026.

    The international symposium "Duplicity/Duplicität: Betwixt intimates and strangers" will be held in Berlin from 29–31 January 2026 and marks the opening of a three-year research project titled "Studies in Remoteness".

  • OeAW | GO.INVESTIGATIO

    The Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) awards grants for research stays outside of Austria for library, archive or field research necessary for the preparation of an academic thesis or publication or the development of a funding application.

  • FWF | Spreading Knowledge

    Titled "Spreading Knowledge", the program invites researchers to host konwledge-transfer events in cooperation with FWF. The goal is to share research results and to intensify the knowledge transfer between science, economy and society.

  • Horizon Europe | ERC Consolidator Grant Call 2026

    The ERC Consolidator Grants are designed to support excellent Principal Investigators at the career stage at which they may still be consolidating their own independent research team or program. Principal Investigators must demonstrate the ground-breaking nature, ambition and feasibility of their scientific proposal.

  • Eberhard (Eb)-Dietzsch-Kunstfreunde | 9th Eb-Dietzsch Award for painting

    The Eb-Dietzsch Award for painting is awarded to artists until the age of 35 years who are at the start of their careers. One work per person can be submitted, the topic is free of choice. All techniques of painting are accepted.

  • ifk | Junior Fellowship

    The ifk Junior Fellowships are intended for young Austrian academics doing their dissertations, as well as for non-Austrian doctoral students who are being supervised at an Austrian university.

  • OeAD | Marietta Blau-Grant

    The Marietta Blau Grant offers financial support for six- to twelve-month study periods abroad for doctoral or PhD students of Austrian universities. It serves to optimise their dissertations. Junior researchers are the main target group.

    The Academy's Open Access Publication Grant is intended to support (Gold) Open Access of academic publications that are the result of research activities at the Academy or are not covered by externally funded projects at the Academy.

  • Open Call of the Academy | Short term grants abroad

    The scholarship for a short-term stay abroad for doctoral/PhD candidates supports stays abroad for e.g. research, field research, archival research, interviews, which are necessary for the dissertation or the PhD project. Stays abroad are funded for a minimum of two to a maximum of eight weeks.

    JER invites the submission of video articles on a rolling basis. These can focus on any topic related to embodied practice, embodied knowledge, or embodied research.
