During Rundgang (Open Days), institutes will open their atelier doors and studios, and performances, discussions and educational programs are offered. The annual Academy Auction will also take place as part of the tour, for which world-famous and even lesser-known artists will make works available for auction.

    Gender & Space // Mykola Shandra: Soft Ammunition - Learning Power Through Play

    This installation examines how patriarchal modes of conflict resolution—grounded in power and dominance—are absorbed through childhood play. Working with improvised objects and spatial memory, the piece traces how power is learned long before it becomes explicit.

    The IKL (Institute for Education in the Arts) Atelierkollektiv (Studio-Collective) is a group of students who autonomously organize a space for artistic work. The members work in diverse fields and express themselves in a variety of forms. They regularly meet to share ideas and plan events. See our works in the very space they are created. The topic of this year’s exhibition by the Atelierkollektiv is “Vernetzung” – because the Rundgang is for making new connections, and so do we as an artists’ collective!
